South Pacific

South Pacific

After a very successful Oklahoma, the show for 2004 will be another Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, "South Pacific"

Full of unforgettable music like 'Nothing Like a Dame', 'Some Enchanted Evening', 'Bali Hai' ... to name only a few

The show runs from Monday 26th April to Saturday 1st May

Tickets are £8 (Concessions Monday only £7) and are now available from the Borough Theatre Box Office.

If you need something to warm your winter nights come to South Pacific.

South Pacific has been performed twice before, in 1965 and 1983 Tony Paton is the only current member who has also performed in both previous productions, although five people remain from the 1983 performance.

Three members have returned playing the same roles as the 1983 production

Mike Everad - Emile De Becque
Pat Martin - Billis
Brenda Harris - Bloody Mary

Tony Paton plays the part of Henry, a role he first played in 1965.

We have two youngsters from our Junior Section playing Ngana and Jerome, Chloe Williams and Harry Jones.

The Producer is Margaret Martin, wife of Billis, and Richard Stephens who is usually to be found on-stage is our Musical Director. Carol Paton is the Choreographer.

Many thanks to Colin Mayled for providing the extra 'photos that I have added to the 1983 page
