AYAH OF THE WEEK

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent.

All praise be for all, lord of the worlds. The most merciful, the most kind. Master of the Day of Judgment. Only you we worship and only you we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of all those who you blessed, not those who earned your wrath or the ones gone astray.

Notes:

1. Why is all praise for Allah? Because He is lord of the world.

2.There is no limit to Allah's mercy- Allah says 'My mercy is over my wrath' so we should try and get to know Him through his mercy.

3. Allah alone is the Master of the Day of Judgment, no one can match His justice.

4.No one can accept our duas except Allah. There are 4 ways in which Allah may accept our dua:

by giving us what we want

by giving us something else in its place

by removing a difficulty from our path

by giving it to us in the akhira

In the akhira Allah will give a believer all the rewards which were not given to him in the duniya, and at that point the person will say, 'I wish that none of my duas had been accepted in the duniya.'

5. The one thing Allah wants us to ask him for is guidance. To walk on the path of all those who he blessed, e.g. Muhammad (peace be upon him).

6. Allah is angry with the disbelievers- the ones who know the truth and still reject, like Shaitan.

7. He is also angry with the ignorant ones, who have not tried to seek the truth and are happy in ignorance.
