Because ELAINE BARRIE and her actor husband, JOHN BARRYMORE must fulfill motion picture contracts, their scheduled divorce hearing today was delayed until March 1 on stipulation of attorneys.  Meanwhile, the actor, for the first time since his marital troubles began, permitted informal photographs to be taken of himself in his film city home this afternoon. BARRYMORE SEEKS DEBTOR'S EXTENSION - L.A. JULY 30 1940


John as he appeared in court for a hearing on his petition for a debtor's extension to liquidate $ 68,021 indebtedness at the rate of $ 1500 a week out of $ 5000 weekly income. Attending the hearing in the role of creditor to the extent of $ 8,648 in back alimony was his former wife DELORES COSTELLO.
