Bedfordshire County Archery Association

Welcome to the official web site of the Bedfordshire County Archery Association (BCAA)

Because of problems of communication with the Lycos Tripod host, we have moved the official BCAA site to a new host at  http://bcaa.50webs.com/  please click on this link to go to the new site.

Links set to connect to http://www.archerybeds.com should remain intact and we will maintain both the old and the new sites with exactly the same material for as long as possible.

My apologies for any inconvenience.

What is BCAA?

BCAA (Bedfordshire County Archery Association) is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) and to the Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS).

It is the governing body for the sport of archery in the county of Bedfordshire and operates under the auspices of the Grand National Archery Society and the Southern Counties Archery Society.

The object of the Association is to promote and encourage the sport of archery, to help in the creation and maintenance of archery clubs and facilities and to ensure that the views of archers in the county are heeded at regional and national level.

The Association is managed by a committee, including representatives of all the archery clubs in the county that are affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society.

It holds annual outdoor and indoor target championship meetings for county archers and visitors and a variety of other championship meetings at County level, including field and clout shoots. It selects teams to represent the County in various inter-county events including regional championships. It presents appropriate County badges and year bars to all archers selected to represent the County.

The Association maintains and publishes records of the highest scores shot by county archers in each branch of archery as defined by the GNAS rules of shooting and issues certificates to affiliated archers in confirmation of those records.
