Although open for the NGS specifically twice a year, we are happy to take groups at other times of the year by prior arrangement.
Entry to the garden (which is a quarter of an acre) is through the nursery. It begins with the Japanese garden, and leads through to the rear garden. This starts formally with an alpine bed and tropical area, and then becomes more informal as you approach the wildflower area and wildlife pond, (home to frogs and newts). Passing the small orchard, takes you to the front garden, which is a little more formal, and houses the feature fish pond.
We have a passion for unusual perennials, and throughout the garden, the odd treasure pops up amongst the old favourites and cottage garden plants. Most of the plants are labelled. Keep your eyes open!
