It is very easy to make money while you surf the internet. There
are numerous companies who regularly pay out sums of money to web-users
simply for viewing adverts whilst online. These pay-to-surf
schemes are a very effective way of generating extra income for
you at no extra cost, since they are completely free to use. On
this page I have outlined some of the best schemes currrently
available, and tried to provide some guidelines and advice for
anybody interested in earning money through them. If this is a
wholly new concept to you, please take a few moments to read

have decided which scheme(s) to use, simply click on the

HOW DOES IT
WORK?
The vast majority of schemes such as 'paid-to-surf' are
essentially the same in that you register online, and then
download the software to use when surfing the web. The software
itself consists of a toolbar (these vary in size depending on the
scheme itself) which you can choose to have displayed either
above or below your browser. As you surf, adverts (which are
designed to suit your personal preferences) are displayed within
the tool bar. You DO NOT have to click on the adverts, or visit,
or buy anything from the companies advertised (although you can
sometimes earn more money or get discounts etc. in this way). You
are simply paid to have the adverts displayed on your screen
while you use the web. I have recently added some newer schemes
which work in slightly different ways (ie. you don't have an ad
bar at the bottom of your screen), these are detailed below.
HOW MUCH DO THEY PAY?
The individual rates for each scheme do vary slightly although
they generally pay somewhere around 20p to 35p an hour in the UK,
or about 30 to 60 cents in the US (the schemes listed on this
page are available in many different countries across the globe,
and will pay out in a vaiety of different currencies - you can
check the current rates and availability for different countries
when you sign up). However, you can earn a great deal more money
by referring others on to the scheme. If you persuade a few
friends to sign up for example (direct referrals), you will
recieve around 15% to 30% of the amount they earn also; when they
refer others onto the scheme you will recieve 10% to 20% of the
amount that person earns also (indirect referrals). Each time
that person refers someone else on to the scheme you will receive
10% to 20% of the amount they earn also, and so on. You continue
to earn through at least five levels of indirect referrals
normally, and in this way the money you earn can multiply very,
very quickly. Not bad, considering it doesn't cost you anything
at all!
A NOTE ON PRIVACY
As with anything which requires you to sign up and provide
personal details online, people are naturally cautious about
offering their information. All I can say is it's good to be
cautious, but as far as these companies go they tend to be very
legitimate organisations with a genuine need to have regular,
satisfied users who will continue to use their software and
recommend them to others. As a result, they are not scam mongers
simply looking to con innocent people into giving out their
personal informaton. Certainly, all of the companies listed on
this page have been tried and tested (and are still being used)
by myself, and I can offer my assurance that they are all
completely legitimate. If you still have any reservations about
them, you can view the privacy policies of each company when you
go to sign up. In addition, these companies all operate strict
anti-spam policies and actively discourage users from spamming
individuals or newsgroups with links to their sites - this should
be another indication to the concerned user that they are
legitimate companies with a concern for their reputation.
RECOMMENDED SCHEMES TO TRY
The following are my personal recommendations for anyone looking
to join pay-to-surf schemes. I have listed them in order of
personal preference, with the best ones first. Please read the
brief notes for each scheme before deciding which to join -
remember you can sign up with as many or as few as you like, and
most of the toolbars can be used alongside others at the same
time, hence doubling the money you generate at any one time.
A
relatively new 'paid-to-sign-up' company who are offering a LOT
of money for referring new members. At the moment they are
offering to pay $37.50 for every person who signs up using your
referral ID! - however this bonus is only available for a limited
time, so join up soon! After this time you can earn $12.50 per
sign up. If you join right now and get 100 other people to sign
up you will have a referral bonus of $3750! Once you are a member
you can earn 'target points' very easily on the site - these
enable you to win money prizes, get discounts etc. This is a VERY
promising scheme offering a lot of earning potential!
AllAdvantage are, in my opinion, the best all
round scheme to try. They have a very good hourly rate of pay for
using the viewbar and for referrals. In addition to this, the
sign-up is very quick and the 'viewbar' can be downloaded
straight away. The only downside is that there is a maximum limit
of around 20 to 30 payable hours per month during which you can
earn money using it yourself. There is no limit on the money you
can make through your referrals though! One of the most well
known and recommended companies around.
ValuePay are another popular and well used
organisation. The rate of pay is slightly less than for
AllAdvantage, however, there is no limit on the number of payable
hours for each month, so you can use it as much as you like. The
sign-up process can be a bit slow, but the 'piggy' bar is very
good compared to the toolbars used by many of these companies. It's
much smaller and you have more choice over which adverts are
displayed etc. It also has other bonus schemes attached which you
can use to increase your earnings. Well worth a try!
Spedia.net are another good company to check
out. Not only do they have quite good rates of pay and five
levels of referrals, but they also offer numerous other ways of
boosting your earnings. They will pay you extra money simply for
registering with various schemes from their sponsors. The signup
process is instant, and their is no limit to the amount you can
earn for using it each month.
This scheme is also a good one, mainly because
they have very good rates for referrals. Other programs for
increasing your earnings are also available when you sign up. The
toolbar, or 'profitzone' as they call, it is a little on the
large side but it's easy enough to install and use.
This scheme is a little different to the
others, in that you don't have to keep a toolbar on your screen
displaying ads while you surf. Instead, you are offered ads by a
little pop-up remote (which can be enabled or disabled as desired)
along with the fee which you will be paid for viewing the ad. You
can choose whether or not to view the advert, but if you do
decide to, the fee goes straight into your account and the advert
is displayed in a seperate window. More money can be earned
through referrals in the usual way (13% of earnings for a direct
referral, 7% for indirect referrals). This is a very good scheme,
since you don't even have to be using your web browser - if you
have a connection open then they can send you ads whatever you're
doing. It is brand new, so it is currently only available in the
USA, UK, New Zealand, and Iceland; but hopefully it will be
available in many more places soon. A very good scheme!
Adsenger is almost the same as Bepaid. It works in exactly the same
way - you sign up and then get paid to watch an advert while
online. If you want to make more money, it is probably a good
idea to sign up with both, since you can view more ads that way.
Usual rules apply with 20% of the earnings for direct referrals
and 10% for indirect. Also, this scheme is available to
international users, so if you cannot use Bepaid due to your
country of residence then give this one a try!
ADVICE - HOW
TO MAXIMISE YOUR EARNINGS
There are
several tips which you should remember if you want to make these
schemes generate the most money for you. I have listed the most
important points to bear in mind here
- Using
several bars at once will generate more income.
-recommend
the schemes to as many people as possible, and refer them onto
the ones which you use.
-always
encourage your referrals to recommend other people too, this will
help to multiply their earnings and yours too.
-when
referring others, always remember to quote your user i.d. so that
they can enter it when they sign up (otherwise you won't be able
to earn from the money they generate).
-don't spam
individuals, newsgroups or messageboards etc. You risk having
your account terminated if you do this. Instead, simply send
messages to people that you actually have contact with, or
include a url (with your user i.d.) in a signature file on your
outgoing e-mail messages - the individual websites have many tips
to help you do this sort of thing.
- build a
website and recommend others! Once you have tried them schemes
out and know which ones you like, simply build your own free site
like this one and let others sign up through it. It is very easy
to do, and it will increase your referrals enormously. One very
easy way of doing this is to sign up with MaxRef - you don't even have to build a
site - they do it for you! They even send new visitors to your
site and help you get more referrals! Remember, the amount you
can potentially earn through building up a good referral network
is absolutely vast...

WORTH CONSIDERING
These
companies pay you to take part in online research. I have
recently signed up with them both, but have not yet been offered
any surveys. Nevertheless, the rates of pay seem to be very good
and I have been told by others that they do actually work. Why
