Granted Billio isn't one of our flair players, but he did shine in last years team. It could be argued that anyone of reasonable ability could have shone in a team of journeymen, but Patrizio did add a lot of steel to our midfield.

We have been accusing our flair players, of a lack of commitment at times, one thing I feel we can never accuse Patrizio of, if anything Patrizio could be a little too committed, hence his missing games through suspension.

Every player has off games and I'm sure Patrizio would be one of the first to put his hand up, but I felt he did get a lot of over criticism, with the Hibs game, on the Official Dundee site from his own fans.

I agree he'll never be a Nemsadze, or Caniggia, but he does perform a function similar to that of Gavin Rae. He is a hard tackler, without the ball winners, the flair players can't play. Sure his passing could be better, but so could a few of our players recently.

Let's not decide to pick on individuals and make them scape goats. We have a very entertaining side, which needs players with Raes and Billios ability to tackle, to help make it tick.

I for one hope Patrizio reconsiders his position, but if he does go, I believe he should command a reasonable fee.

I believe that Billio's heart isn't in it anymore. He hasn't been playing with his head and has been letting the side down by his sending offs. I hope we get a fee for him and replace him with someone better. It's between him and Gavin for that position, and Gavin is doing a great job and of course is Scottish.

The way the national team are playing it won't be long before Gavin is in the National team, but to do thiis he needs first team football. So goodluck Billio on your future.

Billio I would urge Billio to do the same as Falconer and Rae, dig deep and be a better player !. Both these players had been discarded by Ivano at some stage, and it may well be a motivation thing as Billio is a hard grafter, agree that he will struggle to remove Rae from side, but surely competition in the squad must be better than being short of cover if Rae gets injured or suspended.

Nemsadze thrives when he has someone `minding` him , be it Rae or Billio - surely we have learnt one thing from Ivano already ! its a family affair and yes sometimes our brothers will be upset and fall out of favour, but he`ll be back grafting away pretty soon. be true - be blue , through and through !
