Should have mailed you earlier. Your articles on the visit to Smederevo last year were invaluable for the Ipswich fans who travelled there last week. There is a report on the trip at the website of the North West (England!) Branch of the Ipswich supporters club's website, at
I am sure it will bring back some good memories for the other boys who travelled to Serbia last year.
You'll notice we dispensed with the services of fellow scot, George Burley, earlier today. He'll do well in the future I'm sure. I'm disappointed to have lost him.
Best regards from south of the border,
Ian

I loved your diary on your trip to the unknown, sounded like a great experience, the one where the tea turned pink made me laugh , lets hope the dees can make the uefa cup proper this season and have a few more trips like that.
yours sincerley kevin fallows.
Well done lads on sponsoring Fab , great piece of buisness - unbelievable that a wee team like Dundee can get a supporters club to sponsor a player to the tune of a car - Hats off to CDBs, as old man Webster would say "Whaus like us ?" ;¬)

A big well done and thank you for your sponsorship of a car for the magnificent Fabian Caballero. I'll be at the Hearts game. I'd love to meet some of you guys.
I'm the wee specky eejit in a wheelchair with a Dundee scarf proudly wrapped round my neck. Hope your club goes from strength to strength.
p.s. got stuck in the lift at Tynecastle on the way out last game of last season and me and my wheelchair pusher, young Andy, had a good old Dundee singsong in the lift while we waited for them to rescue us. Could have stayed there all night. Only got as far as 10 choruses of "Ivano, Dario", before they set us free. Got a lot of strange looks from the stewards, though.

Just spent a bit of time accessing the site history. Things have certainly moved on since my last visit which was to a George Mackie owned Hotel some three/ four years ago.
Up the Dees!

Phil,
That's the impression I had too when I asked Fraser to write about his escapades. They made me jealous, that I never made the trip.
I felt it was a story that had to be shared with the fans. It's just whetting the fans appetite for the Derby game.
I know Neil also and can confirm it is the same person. I used to kick the ba about with him on Sundays at the Lawside pitches in my younger days. He sits in front of me at the matches. Poor sod had to go to Serbia to get away from me.:-)
You'll see his photo in Part two for confirmation.
