It must be pointed out that a lot of the material is sung using strong language, so Parental Guidance is recommended when played.
To say Boab (the toab) Brady wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to his passion to following Dundee FC would be an understatement.
Boab’s musical talents are wide and varied as well as his range of styles as can be witnessed from his tracks, “Dundee Opera” an excellent Operatic piece featuring all of the past Season’s squad with the odd mention of a certain rotund one from across the Street. To the Noel Coward style of “F*** You F*** You, Arab”, another humorous ditty.
The popular “Cheer up Alec Smith”, needs no explanation as it’s already a favourite at Dens.
“Always a Dee “, is another great track sung in a Dylan type ballad style, describing the typical Dundee Supporter through the good and bad days.
“Dee til I deh” is a fast paced tune sung in a colloquial accent and is another optimistic fans viewpoint.
“Dark Blue Destroyers” is in the style of the WWF introductions.
“Certain tings” Is another in the style of Reggae.
“Dinnae bring an Arab hame” Every Dee’s father’s biggest nightmare.
Just for novelty value I’d recommend buying this CD, it’s sure to annoy any Arab mate if you’re giving him a lift in your car. If there are still any doubters of “Jump the Q’s” Talents they can be seen playing most weekends in the Dundee Hostelries.
At £5 the CD is good value.
