"Police Bulletin"
Ayrshire Police are on the lookout for 2 thieves who committed a daring robbery on Sunday afternoon. They got away with a bundle (of points) which could be worth their weight in gold come May 2002.
The thieves are described as being Mediterranean in appearance, possibly Italian, and are thought to be brothers. An Ayrshire Police spokesman advised that they have contacted all managers of the SPL to warn them to be on their guard as they think this pair may strike again!

I have just found your site on the web and was delighted to see that there was interest in Dundee beyond Perth!!!!
My two boys and I are Dundee Supporters and I am very interested in joining the Highland Dees and being able to attend more games than of late.
I look forward to hearing from you further.

Hello Boab,
Just dropping a line to say well done to John for organising an enjoyable
first meeting.
After all the jokes I had to put up with about holding it in a phone box I was delighted that our numbers were in double figures. Looking forward to the next meeting and getting down to Dens on a regular basis this season.
All the best
Garry

Hi there, THD section,
I'd like to think that I may qualify as a Highland Dee by association. Although I've lived in (and supported Dundee from) Bermuda for the past 35 years, and blush to admit to having been born in (whisper it) GLASGOW, I spent my single-figure childhood years in Kingairloch, on the western shore of Loch Linnhe opposite Appin, and began supporting Dundee at age 10 when my father got the head forester's job with the then Dundee Corporation Water Department at Lintrathen in 1955.
I went to school for 6 years in Kirriemuir (1957-1963) and was a Dundee Policeman for 3 years after that before joining the Bermuda Police for a 3-year hitch in November 1966---and I'm still here, having retired last year after 34 years! We intend to return to Scotland in about 3 years' time, and plan to build on a piece of ground we own just across the main road from Corran Ferry, just south of Fort William.
By the way, I notice you have a Mark Kerr as one of your founder members. I'd like to hear from him at
daviekerr@ibl.bm
at his convenience, in case we happen to be related somewhere along the way.
Cheers, and c'way the DEEEEEEEEEE!
Davie Kerr.

Best wishes for your new club and for the trips down to Dens this season. I thought the weekly trip down from Aberdeen was bad enough but from Inverness - I take my hat off to you.
All the best to an ex member of the Aberden branch Danny Cameron.

The Highland Dees will be delighted that Dundee have confirmed that a Dundee XI will play at Brora on Saturday. I hope to make the trip North and to meet some of the many Highland Dees who have contributed to the official web site in the last three years.

Hi,
I'm the Mark Kerr , John makes reference to as his " mate " in his introduction to Highland Dees formation. John has been instrumental in getting this whole thing up and running. He deserves a big pat on the back for keeping the Dark Blue flag flying in the North.
I have been a supporter since my Dad , who was club doctor at one stage, started taking me to matches around about 1962/63.
I remember being at the A.C. Milan game and at the Cup final at Hampden ( 3-1 Rangers ), but best memories were of European campaign when Johnny Duncan was star striker ( header from edge of the box , and picture in the papers on top of the Law next day - he stayed with his mum near the Kingsway ). Also have fond memories of Fair Cities Cup matches v. Leeds Utd. - Jackie Charlton under Dundees crossbar and George McLean threatening at the other end. I was at the Provie Road end - never seen it so full.
I still remember great days when Charlie Cooke mesmerised , Biffo the Bear tore up the left wing, Jockie scored with his head ! , Dundee beat Celtic at Parkhead 1-0 with a cross cum shot by ( was it Wilson Hoggan or .....), Dundee beat Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox on a Sunday in 197?4/5 , me and my brother Paul (Spud) were there in the father and son section!
The Bonetti's have done wonders at Dens. My interest in DFC and football in general has been boosted beyond what my ageing years would have believed possible. Long may it continue. Well done John, for establishing Highland Dees.
See you and many others, in Chieftain Hotel on 18th July, MARK.(age 47)
