EDITORIAL
I approached Bill Perrie as to whether the NADSC would like me to create a Section on my site, as an avenue for them to let everyone know what the North American Dundee Supporters Club were up to.
This section I hope goes a long way to not only keeping them all in touch and up to date, but increases their membership as there are a lot of Dees now Stateside.
I'm sure all who read what follows, will agree, it sounds like a Club to join.
At our inaugural meeting a few good ideas were brought up with what we could achieve with the dues we raise, we will "chip" in with the other member supporters clubs and sponsor a player next season.
We only found out recently about the players` awards night but enough excitement was generated to guarantee a delegation next year. My favourite item on the agenda was an annual Florida convention, we have a member in Florida who can help set up this event with the help of his wife who works for Disney.
Details are still in the planning stage but we would open this to the Bermuda Dees and also to all Scottish branches, if enough interest was there, we would pay for the feed to show a televised Dee game, of course if they are playing the Old Firm, then there is no need because of the number of Celtic/Rangers clubs in Florida. It would be tremendous to see Dundee supporters and their families on a wee annual sabbatical to share memories and create new ones, maybe we would have to make it every second year.
I will certainly keep you posted on this. A few of us went to the Dundee-Celtic game on Sunday 13th May 2001 and were treated Royally, the club gave me a tape of the game and it certainly was a day we will remember. This continent is so vast, but we feel through the use of the internet and e-mail that we now have our own Dundee club and we are all very proud, thanks Bob for extending yet another Medium for our Club and I hope to keep the site updated.
