Season 2003-2004 league Predictions

I'm very happy that esteemed Journalists of the "Scotland On Sunday" have found time to give their own personal views on how the League may finish this Season. They have put their necks on the block when they didn't have to, which is the spirit and intention of this competition

This Seasons High Profile Pundit is none other than Young Sports Journalist of the Year Alan Pattullo. Will he do better than Martin Hannan from last year who finished with 7 points.. :-) Only time will tell, so here's Alan's pearls of wisdom, a well known Dundee fan himself

Alan Pattullo the Young Sports Journalist Of The Year from the "Scotland On Sunday" gives his verdict.

1: Rangers:- hate to say it but I think they might do it again. Have lost Amoruso which they can surely only regard as a bonus while recruiting the man formerly known as God but is now just plain old Zurab. Caniggia also gone so someone else will have to score their goals v Dunfermline.

2: Celtic:- Has to be I suppose. Larsson will score a bag-full but elsewhere they seem a little creaky. Surely Giorgi and Gavin can over run a midfield including Lennon and old man Lambo.

3: Dundee:- why not? Have the look of a decent squad and if Fabian can reproduce his form of last season anything can happen. Also have Milne, Nacho and Sara who are able to put most sides to the sword. And then there is Lovell, who I think will be Larsson's main competitor for highest goalscorer this season.

4: Hearts:-Boring I know but something about Levein is impressive. Knows what he is doing but that won't stop his team dropping one place from last season.

5: Aberdeen:-surely they can't be as bad as they have been over the recent period. Dundee will still give them the run around at Pittodrie and they will probably do the same to us at Dens.

6: Killie:- an incredible habit of being mindbogglingly dull but also pretty effective. Jim Jefferies knows his stuff although, again, this will be a worse performance than last season, when, incredibly, they managed to finish above us.

7: Dundee United:-the best of the dross but they still won't make the big step up  into the top six. Ian McCall is undeniably a good manager but it just seems the changes have been too sweeping for instant success. Mind you, finishing five places off bottom is success for these boys these days ain't it?

8: Hibs:-Can't see too much of an improvement this term for the boys fae Leith. A taller goalkeeper is about as lofty as their ambitions will get.

9: Livvy:-Not too sure about these boys. A bit of Brailian magic might
do the trick, especially having ditched the blustering Leishman. Some
impressive pre-season results suggests they will be well away from relegation issues
but still not quite ready to make the jump into the top six.

10: Dunfermline::p--Synthetic pitch might work for them but might also  work
against them. Tend to go on ridiculous losing streaks during stages of the
season. Will be one of the mid-table cluster.

11: Motherwell:- Enough good young player to keep them up, but only just.

12: Partick Thistle:- Sorry Gerry Britton but Thistle's time is up.

Cups: Scottish: Dundee (we'll get what we deserve this time)
League: Rangers (they seem to get excited about this trophy, don't they? They
are welcome to it]

UEFA: Don't care as long as long as Dundee make it past Christmas.
