 SPL Positions:-

1:   Celtic:- Would have won last year if not for their excellent European run.

2:   Rangers:- Yawn.

3.   Dundee:-  If they had shown their post-New Year form all year they would
have been fourth. Will improve this year.

4:   Hearts:- Still good but some of their pre-season results must have scared
their fans.

5.   Killie:- 'Cause Jim Jeffries knows his stuff.

6.   Dunfermline:-  Hit the skids a bit at the end of last year. Don't see them
doing quite as well this year.

7.   Hibs:-  Ran Dundee pretty close last year, won't do a lot better this year.

8.   Aberdeen:-  Some good signings, but unlike United, not too many.

9  . Falkirk oops United:- McCall may have made some good
signings, but it will take time to see.

10. Motherwell:- Escaped relegation by politics last year. Will escape by
football this year - just.

12  Livvy:-  A Brazilian manager in the SPL? Can't see it lasting.

12. Partick Thistle:-  A long sad season coming up for Thistle. Biggest
question: will the team that wins the first division be accepted into the
SPL?

League Cup: Rangers to beat Celtic.
Scottish Cup: Dundee to beat Rangers.

UEFA Cup: Will be won by some team that didn't win the league in France,
England, Spain, Portugal or Italy. Who cares. Dundee will go out in the
third round, on away goals.
