About Bob Stone, Playwright

Bob is a Graduate in English Literature from Bangor
University. He has been writing since he could hold a pen.
Bob has been a member of Lucilla
Dramatic Society since 1990 and has seen many of his One-Act Plays performed
by the Society both on the Studio Theatre stage at Lucilla House, and at
Festivals. Indeed, his one-act play 'In
After School' recently won an award.
Bob has a body of work which includes several full length plays
and other one-act plays not mentioned on this web site! His one-act drama
entitled '
Trainspotter'
(not mentioned on this site) was
commended at a Festival for its 'ear for dialogue'.

Bob has also directed and acted in several full length plays for
Lucilla
Dramatic Society. Most recently Bob played the
role of
E.J. Scott
in
Saving Ardley,
a play specially written for the World Wildlife Fund and amateur dramatic groups
around the world by Tudor Gates, the author of the famous Ladies Who Lunch
and Who Killed Agatha Christie.
In October 2002 Bob directed
'Murder
In Play',
a comedy thriller by Simon Brett.
Recently Bob has become associated in a publishing and licensing arrangement
with
Stage One Publications
