Albert and Billy have been vying for the role of Head Santa in the store's Christmas Grotto for seven years now, but the arrival of a new Head of Human Resources gives them a common foe. Will they he able to stop fighting each other long enough to fight the threat posed to their jobs by the Chrismatic Automated Snowman?

The five members of the English Department of a comprehensive school find that they have become locked in a classroom. Their captor not only has the key, but also seems to know secrets about each one of them. As these secrets are revealed, one by one, by means of notes under the door, tensions reach boiling point as the teachers realise that they did not know each other nearly as well as they thought.

Angela and Joe have been happily going out together for a while now and never thought their age difference mattered. But Joe has become withdrawn and distant. As Angela's parents try to find out why and reconcile the couple, Joe is forced to reveal a secret about his past which he thought he could keep hidden forever but which he believes will change the way Angela sees him completely.
