Helen Love: Linx
Helen Love WWW links
So this site isn't good enough for you, eh? Or have you exhausted the whole thing? All of it? You sure?
In that case, I hope you're not leaving without sending me a message to say how much you enjoyed it or what else you'd like to see here.
Or maybe you'd like to help out - I'm not omniscient, ya know, so all information will be gratefully received and contributors credited.
However, if you want to know more about Helen Love, there's not a great deal else on the Internet about them, which is why I've tried
to make this as comprehensive as possible. Even though the band have been around for a few years, these are all the sites I've found so far:
- I suppose I should put the official Helen Love site at
Ché records at the top of the list, even though it's just one page.
There's a message from Helen, a brief (and incomplete) discography and... er, that's all at the moment. See, I told you my site was the best.
- But really, your first stop should be Edward Jung's Helen Love pages.
Unlike me, he's got access to a decent scanner. Also unlike me, he's at university so he's had plenty of time to give the site a superb layout.
One day, this site will be as good as his. He also runs the unofficial BMX Bandits homepage as well as other delights. Oh, just go and see.
- Then there's the Helen Love site at Damaged Goods
records. It's pretty basic and some of the colour schemes are extremely dodgy - red text on brown? Hmm... But it does allow you to order all those
singles and albums you've been reading about on the rest of my site. They also sell some fine J Church product as well.
- Twee Kitten are dedicated to all things fey and jangly in pop. There's only a few pages on the band,
all of it pretty old, but the site is worth a visit anyway for their vast coverage of bands like Heavenly, Tiger Trap, Jimmy Eat World, Cub and anything
related to the late Sarah records.
- Addicted To Noise E-zine mentioned Helen Love a couple of times - on 24 May and
21 July 1995, as reported by their Rock'n'Roll correspondent Joey Ramone. He talks about
bringing the band over to play a show in New York (their first-ever gig!).
- ATN let Joey say some more here in a column entitled 'Joey Ramone's
unsigned'. He meant unsigned in the US of course. There's also an .AU file and two .MPEG files, if you have the technology - the song featured is, of course,
Joey Ramoney.
- And that's about it, unless you know different. Got a URL? Click on the box below and send it to me!
