The first season of Buffy the Vampire slayer is definitely one of the best. The first episode was a bit dodgy in places as David Boreanaz took time to adust to his new part as Angel (Buffy's vampire sidekick). However by the second episode he had finally taken to his part and from then on the season continues to develop until the final show down between the Master (Ultimate Big Bad Vamp) and Buffy.

The second season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the one that got me into Buffy!

This is a good season but not that good compared to the other seasons. This season is the first season that decides not to have a vampire as the main villain. Instead it chooses an amusing but slightly crazy mayor who is intent on turning himself into a giant demon. Again Buffy meets another new slayer, Faith (who on arrival is attacked by a very powerful vampire named Kokistos). Faith and Buffy become good friends until Faith deserts the gang and joins up with the mayor to become another source of evil. This season also sees Angel return from hell and struggle to regain his sanity after hundreds of years of torture. The last few episodes are fantastic and the season ends well.

This is by far the worst season of Buffy I have seen!

It starts of promisingly enough as Buffy struggles to cope with college while continuing to slay vamps and balance a social life. However Joss Wheadon did not come up with a main villain until the fourteenth episode. When the main villain does finally make an appearance he's called Adam and is made up of demons, robotics, monsters and humans (Its as stupid as it sounds). Joss also adds a military organisation named The Initiative that captures demons, vamps e.t.c to perform experiments on them. The initiative nearly succeeds in spoiling "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and certainly does enough to spoil season 4. The only really good thing to come out of Season 4 is that James Masters is finally given a regular part as Spike.

A very good first season.

This is a very good first season for Buffy's relatively new spin-off series Angel. It has a sheer darkness that Buffy never imagined while still managing to keep an edge of comedy. David plays his party very well and his character Angel is joined by half demon- half human Doyle and Sunnydale veteran Cordelia. The show also keeps Buffy's un-predictability by killing of Doyle halfway through the series and replacing him with another former Sunnydale resident, Wesley who watcher abilities make him very useful to the team. The shows "Big bad" is an evil law firm named Wolfham and Hart.

BUFFY: is the main character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When she was 16 she discovered that she was to inherit the superhuman strength and ability as she became one of a long line of female vampire hunters referred to as slayers. She is told not that she must not tell anyone what she does because it might endanger them. So night after night her and her watcher kill vampires. The slaying quickly begins to get her in trouble, with her family and her teachers.

One night she finds that her school gym is filled with vampires and she is forced to burn it down. This gets her expelled from school and Buffy and her now divorced mother have to move to a new town and a new school that will take her. However Buffy quickly discovers that her new home is only a few miles from the hell mouth. So with the help of her watcher (Rupert Giles and her new friends) she battles many powerful demons and vampires for four years until she is forced to give up her life to save her sister Dawn.

XANDER: is one of the first new friends Buffy makes upon arriving at Sunnydale high. He immediately takes a liking to her and begins to fall in love with her. Unfortunately she doesn't feel the same way and she says NO when he asks her out. Xander is incredibly funny and is the shows main source of comedy. He also helps Buffy occasionally with patrolling and is quite a good fighter. Although far from stupid Xander is not very academic and as the rest of the gang go to college he goes through many forms of employment before settling for a good job in construction.

DAWN: is Buffy's younger sister. She first appears in series 5 after never appearing in any of the 4 previous seasons and leaves Buffy viewers completely confused until Buffy herself discovers that Dawn was not always her sister. Dawn is "the key". The power in her blood (if bleed at the right time) can open all the portals to hell unleashing hell on earth! When Dawn herself discovers that all her memories of being Buffy's sister are false and discovers her true origin she is horrified. It then took Buffy to persuade Dawn that it didn't matter that she was the key and that her family would always love her anyway. However Dawn is soon grief stricken again when her mother dies of a brain tumor. She is then captured by evil, hell goddess Glory who tries to use Dawn to open up the portals to hell. Buffy is then forced to lay down her own life to save Dawn and stop the apocalipse.

CORDELIA: used to be a Sunnydale resident but after her father lost all their money to the tax man she moved to L.A and currently works with Angel and Wesley. All through high school she was very popular and rich until she started to date Xander Harris when her "friends" abandoned her and she became friends with Willow, Ozz, Buffy e.t.c

BUFFY ANNE SUMMERS 1981-2001

Buffy always new that every time she fought she stood a good chance of being killed and eventually after 5 years of slaying she did die.

She was forced to give up her life to save the world after Dawn's blood had opened the portal to hell and she realised that only her or Dawn's blood could save the world so she gave up her own life to save the world.

PRINCIPLE FLUTIE: Was head of Sunnydale high when Buffy first arrived. He got on quite well with Buffy and

he was generally nice to the pupils. Unfortunately he had no idea that Sunnydale was on a hellmouth and was eaten by possessed students in the first series.

JENNNY CALENDER: was a direct descendent from the gypsies that put the curse on Angel 1 hundred years ago. So she is sent to Sunnydale by her uncle to watch Angel to make sure he never receives a moment of true happiness that would break his curse. However she falls in love with Buffy's watcher, Giles and the two date for several episodes.

When Angels curse does break she is forced to admit to Giles the real reason why she is in Sunnydale and the two break up. She tries to find another spell to curse Angel again but Angel discovers what she is doing and he kills her in season 2.

JOYCE SUMMERS: was Buffy's much loved mother. Despite living on the hell-mouth for 4 years it was not demons that killed her, she died naturally of a brain tumor in season 5.

DOYLE (ANGEL): Was Angel's assistant. He was half demon so he helped Angel at both fighting and with research. He also fell in love with Cordealia who eventually begins to fell the same way. Unfortunately they don't get a chance to date because Doyle dies saving a group of demon refugees.

JESSE: Was Xanders best friend for many years until he was turned into a vamp by Luke and Darla in The Harvest. Xander was then forced to kill him.

The Master: Was the main enemy in Buffy for an entire season until Buffy threw him onto a pointed stake!

 THE MASTER

 SPIKE

Spike (pictured left) is only about one hundred and fifty years old. His real name is William the Bloody. Despite his young age he has managed to kill two slayers and he has nearly killed both Buffy and Angel on many occasions. He is incredibly strong for such a young vampire though he can now no longer kill humans because The initiative have put a chip in his head that jolts pain through him if he harms a human. At first he hated his new in-ability to kill humans until he fell in love with Buffy and in his own way became a good vampire. At first he broke into Buffy's home on several occasions to go through her underwear draws and to steal pictures of her. However after she rejects him several times he changes drastically and becomes very good friends with Buffy's sister Dawn. He loves Buffy so much that he puts his own life on the line to try to save her sister (the key to opening the portals of hell if she bleeds onto them) from being cut open by a powerful demon. This confuses the demon who comments "There not a soul anywhere on you why do you even care?" to which Spike replies "I made a promise to a lady" (referring to his promise to Buffy to protect Dawn).

Drusilla (far left) is about the same age as Spike (though we never find out her exact age) she is a very powerful vampire due not only to her strength but to her hypnotic powers and her visions. She Killed a slayer named Kendra in season2. She also dated spike through out season 2 until he began to go soft at which point she announced that Spike wasn't evil enough for the likes of her anymore. She also makes several appearances in the second season of Angel accompanied by Darla.

Darla was the vampire who sired Angel. She is 400 or so years old and is very powerful. She is very strong (though does not appear to be in her first fight with Buffy in "The harvest". Her main power lies not in her strength but in her ability to manipulate and trick people (especially Angel).

She appears in Buffy through the first season of Buffy but is killed by angel halfway through the season. She then appears in Angel 4 years later after she is ressurected by Wolfham and Hart.

.THE ORDER OF TARAKA

The mayor is a very amusing and very crazy man who spends the whole of season 3 trying to become a demon. He is one of the things that make season 3 a really great season!

However both stars are reported to have told him that they were happy with there parts and did not want to swap roles.

Ive been hearing a lot lately about another new Buffy spin-off named "Dark Angel" that is due to air soon on Sky. However most of the rumors I have heard about the new show are all different. For example I have been told that Dark Angel is to be a female vampire who is Angel's sister. However I have also heard that Dark Angel is to be a slayer so I'm not sure what to believe. I would be grateful for your e-mails if you know more about this new show.

Other Buffy web-sites, newspapers and magazines are a buzz with rumors that there is to be a new Giles spin-off show after Giles leaves Buffy in season 6. However I have ignored most of these rumors because Anthony Stewart Head has told the papers that he wishes to return to England to be with his family after he is finished filming season 6 of Buffy. Again if you know different please e-mail me.

David Greenwalt has told the papers that Buffy will return to TV for a sixth season. Apparently Buffy will some how be brought back from the dead to fight evil again, although he deliberately did not specify any details apart from to say that there will be no cross-over episodes in the new seasons of Buffy and Angel.

He won the poll convincingly and so now he gets his very own section! Spike is also known as William the Bloody (though not for his killings as a vampire but because as a human he was such a "bloody awful poet). He first arrived in Sunnydale in the second season of Buffy having previously killed 2 slayers during his short un-life.

In his first fight with Buffy he beats her and is about to go in for the kill when Buffy's mum hits him over the head with an axe. He then killed the anointed one and thereby ended ""The Bretheren Of Aurelius" and the rain of " the Masters followers". He then took the lead of the Masters former followers and began to study Buffy (using video taping) to see if he could find a weakness. He then tried to kill her again when she was temporarily weakened by a spell in "Halloween" but failed. He then went about trying to find a cure for his lover Drusilla to restore her to full strength after she was attacked by a angry mob in Prague.

He does eventually find a cure (discovering that Angel's blood is the key to saving Dru). However Buffy is joined by another slayer (Kendra) and together they defeat Spike and save Angel. However not before Dru is restored to her full health, and after his fight with Buffy and Kendra it is Spike who is left temporarily crippled.

Angel then sleeps with Buffy and loses his soul becoming ANGELUS once more! He then spends the second half of season 2 taunting Spike and making out that he and Dru are sleeping together. Meanwhile Spike's anger grows as Angel continues to flirt with Drusilla. He makes a full recovery, but he keeps this secret from Dru and Angelus and eventually allies with Buffy to stop Angelus (though him and Buffy's reasons for stopping Angel were VERY different). He then kidnapped Drusilla and left Sunnydale. He returned to Sunnydale in season3 having been dumped by Dru. He then Killed a few people and kidnapped Xander and Willow only to be stopped by Buffy yet again!

It was when he returned to Sunnydale again in season 4 that he was captured by the Initiative and a chip was placed in his head that stopped him from harming any living human in anyway. This made him harmless and from then on he was no longer a threat to the gang.
