Hi

I have spotted a mistake in your census stryas:
THORNTON John 1824 Garrison Ingleton

Was born in Garriston not Garrison, which is near Hauxwell in Yorks. He is my direct ancestor. it's an easy mistake to make and I think the census may even have it written as Garrison. I spent years working that one out!

I recognised 2 names from your Yorkshire Strays in Wales section. Mt great great great great grandfather was named Jno Bee (married Mary), they had a son (my g.g.g. grandfather) named Francis Bee (married Elizabeth) and they lived in West Malton. They had a son (my g.g. grandather) named Frederick Charles Bee (married Frances). They had a son (my g. grandfather) named Frederick Bee (married Ellen Jones). They had a son (my grandfather), yep, named Frederick Bee (married Sarah Jones). Frederick Charles Bee moved to Caernarvonshire from Rhuddlan and married Ellen, a local girl. As far as I am aware he had a brother, John Bee who also lived in Caernarvon. So if there are any Bee family members living in Sheffield, well just to let you know you have relatives in North Wales :-).

Trying to piece together the BATT family tree. Need to contact people with surnames Favell, Bushby and Metcalfe in the Spennithorne, C. Burton area.

In particular the Carters of Whitby. Eliza Jane born 1853. Father William Henry, Husband Christopher Metcalfe of Constable Burton.

They move to Hartlepool and the trial is ok from then on. Need Eliza's info desperatley to put the last piece in the Jigsaw.
