TRARALGON, Wednesday. - While on his way into the township with a load of wood yesterday Mr. R. Chaundy met with an accident which resulted in his death. The horse which he was driving tripped and bolted. One of the wheels of the cart struck a stump and Mr. Chaundy was thrown to the ground, some of the wood falling on top of him. A passing motorist brought him to Traralgon, and he was con- veyed by ambulance to the Gippsland Hos- pital, where he died shortly after admit- tance. Mr. Chaundy had for many years been a leading official of St. James's Church of England. | |
