About 6 months since, a memorial was presented to the commissioners of the Metropolitan Roads signed by fifty eight of the owners and occupiers of property in the immediate neighbourhood of the Broadway, praying for the removal of the Pump now standing thereon, to its Original Site, the same being considered by them as a great nuisance. The Commissioners answer to the said Memorial, sanctioning it Removal under certain restrictions.

William Smith Almshouses :
