He came through the field well however and took 7 Wally round before getting caught up in a pile on the back straight, 4 Wildy spinning him head on into 47 Andy Davies but managed to come home a creditable 9th. Alan returned for the second Allcomers and again was going well until collecting an unseen motor head on down the home straight which signalled the end of his racing for the night.

Doncaster based brothers, 33 Wayne and 34 Warren Burnham both made the trip also with Wayne in this Mk1 also from the CofC. He was well involed in heat 2, being t-boned by 446 Lee Greer first of all before collecting his brother head on! 15th March: This weekend saw 55 Graham 'Smiggy' Smith make the journey down to Mildenhall for their opening National meeting of the season while Invader 514 Paul Woods was at Standlake for their 3 Litre sponsored meeting on the Sunday.

Paul made the 4 hour trip down with these Mk2 and Bluebird to race in both formulas.
Paul had a lively day and was involved here and there, he commented that he liked the track and that it was hard to master with it being so slippery. Paul got 8 races out of his day and some good results along the way, capped off with this roof bender in the Unders DD.

55 Smiggy is well keen at the moment and proved this further by making his way down to Mildenhall for their opening National Banger meeting on the 13th March with also doubled up as the first British Qualifier. On a very boggy surface Graham made his way upto 5th place in the third heat(after which his car is pictured) before being well involved in the final, hits including a head on with 348 Mushy and a walling of 78 Mad Mace before taking a shot from 135 Donny Mann and recovered to register another 5th place.

Pete brought back his Civil War Capri and had a number change for the day, was out in heat 3 but failed to finish in the top ten and was back for the consi where he took a jacking from 98 Mucka.

Joe brought along this Celica liftback and had zero luck in it, was put in straight away on the back straight where he took a shot over the back wheel and had 696 the Beestoid buried into him signalling a caution period to rescue him, thankfully vacating OK.

It was also a case of zero luck for Rob who had clutch troubles and pulled off early in his heat.

Young Johnny was out in this Bluebird and was in the first heat where he went head to head with 412 Colin Lacey before taking a hit from 19 Joe Mullarky. He came back for the consi but had pulled off by about mid way through.

Wobby made the trip from Doncaster and must have had machanical problems and was seen leaving early

Jack was involved most the day, was leading heat 3 until taken out by eventual winner 290 Jay Tomkins, and recovered only to top be buried into 744 Muppet by 999 Scott Hill but kept it going for a 4th place.
Also out on track were 51 Wusty and 751 Thacker who borught their cars back from Wimbledon last week that can be seen below. Wusty was out in heat 3 where he got a 7th which put him through to the final where he was run in hard by 741 Luke Parfitt on turn 1. Steve meanwhile took a 7th in heat 2 but failed to register a top ten place in the final.

Buxtons 75 Steve Thacker was out in heat 2 and duly took the win after the race was ended early after the red flags came out. He came out again for the A final where he was unable to finish.

Also out from Buxton was 51 Wusty who joined Steve in heat 2,  he was taken in by 807 Chris Murfin early on in turn 3 before recovering to bury 344 Baby Bunny en-route to a 7th place. He reappeared for the final and also didn't finish.

470 Pete Corbett had to do with some make shift fin plates on his booted Mazda 323 after his original one was left on 295 Havocs wagon which was left stranded on the M6 after breaking down. Pete was also out in the second heat and drove a steady race to place one behind Wusty in 8th which put him in the A Final where he took a hit over the back wheel from 299 Stuart Youngs Bluebird before recovering to bury 515 Graham Coes similar motor well later in the race.

243 Screamer appeared in the third heat and a lively race saw him well involved.
