Blyton, 9th May, Unlimited Bangers

13 cars for an Unlimited session at Blyton for which also coinsided as the second part of their May Speedweekend. A lot of bilge amongst the entry including Bluebirds, Cavs and Sierras plus a Galant while 150 Ashley Lambie had top car by a country mile with a Mk2 hearse, though it was sadly unpainted.

A quiet opener saw only 6 cars on track with 225 Nick Bull putting 142 Benji Rowlinson round before suffering the same treatment later on in the race thanks to 235 Christian Taylor. 149 Wayne Bailey took the win.

Same number again for another second heat, 225 Bully hitting the spun 215 Chris Bull before 89 Jake Lakin put himself in as the cars struggled on the wet surface, Bailey winning again.

Things livened up in the Final with Bully giving the spun 219 Danny Scott a big t-bone before taking one over the front wheel and a head on from from 148 Shaun Wood and 215 Bull respectively. Scott took more punishment in the shape of a head on from 148 Woody as elsewhere Taylor took 829 Gaz Sharpe in and Bailey did Scott over the back wheel. 89 Lakin winning this time.

The Final started with Scott taking a pounding again with a large t-bone from Bully and one over the back wheel from Woody with 215 Bull also hitting the 219 motor head on. Scott took a further one on the nose from Woody as Taylor took 829 Sharpe in and Bailey hit Scott over the back wheel with Lakin taking his second win.

A rated Allcomers saw 729 Lee Neasham take Bailey and himself in as 142 Rowlinson had Scott out with Taylor then riding over Scotts bonnet before recovering to hit Neasham. Tayor used the Galant to hit Scott who then had Rowlinson fired into him by Sharpe with the former and Woody then both weighing into Scott. Neasham then lunged at Woody only to put himself in hard then take a revenge head on from the latter. Scott saw his last action in the meeting when Rowlinson put him in on the back straight leaving his aboosed Sierra a mess. Sharpe now jacked Woody with Neasham then t-boning the latter hard allowing Bull in for a massive shot on the 729 motor leaving Neasham with his roof well up. Bull fired Woody in well as Bully took the win.

7 returned for the demo with Bull on Lakins case straight away before Rowlinson did Bully on the nose, Bull then meeting Lakin in much the same way only to come under attack from Bully. The latter then gave Rowlinson a shot over the back wheel before setting off across the centre to meet Lakin in a stonking head on from which neither backed off.

This ended an enjoyable meeting which thankfully got a lot better after a quiet start, I would imagine with a few more cars you could have a decent session round here as the locals dont seem afraid of getting stuck in.
