The Red Lion
at Avebury

Helene C Howse was born in Saint Lo in France in 1944 and moved to Britain in 1963. Painting became a passion in 1995 after a period of private tuition from a gifted artist, an ex head of art and design with the college.

Helene has had several successful solo exhibitions locally for the Cancer Research  campaign and has completed a number of private commissions.

Using mainly watercolours and pastels she likes to transform scenes in her own way. Bringing warmth and atmosphere to gardens, forests and landscapes of all sorts by often adding dramatic sky effects to simple subjects.
