Eltonbury Music is no more

All things change, and Eltonbury Music is now part of the past.

To tell you the truth, I thought this site had gone away a year ago. Just shows that nothing is ever truly lost.

Anyway, I am now in Eugene, Oregon, setting up a new life. As part of that new life, I have started a new business. Similar instruments, some of them, and entirely different ones, as well.

OK, that didn't make sense, even to me, and I wrote it. Let's try it again. The psalterium harps are there, true enough, including the plank harps, and the spirit harps. But I have spent part of my recovery time doing a lot of research into the instruments brought into the British Isles and what are now France, Poland, and Western Russia by the pre-Viking Norse. So a series of bowed and strummed instruments are coming into being. Even an affordable "Viking-Rus Bowed Lyre" which may easily be the ancestor of the Welsh Crwth.

So have a look around here:

Click here: to see the last of the Eltonbury Music site. (There's still a lot of nice content left.)

Then click here to see Psalt of the Earth. Along with the instruments, you will find a wealth of other goodies. I think you'll like it.

Oh, yes.

One other thing

Along with my activities as a maker of instruments, I have also become involved in publishing. For THOSE activities, arguably more respectable, yet somehow just as much fun, click here.

That's about it for the moment, folks. More to follow.

A blessing upon your day.
