SPONSORSHIP APPEAL -
CHRISTINA McQUILLAN
I am a 17-year-old talented European rider seeking to represent her country
in International 3-day events such as Show Jumping, Dressage and Cross
Country. I am seeking out firms interested in sponsoring me as I pursue this
goal. My ultimate goal is to ride for England in International 3-day events
and horse trials. I need a sponsor to help towards funding and support so I
can reach the top. Also to improve on how many horses I have, so I can go to larger events.
Goals:
Year 2001-2004: To Ride CCI* and CCI** cross-country events to gain
qualifying points for top international CCI*** and CCI**** such as Burghley
and Blenheim. To attend BSJA Show jumping competitions and British Dressage
competitions to improve training for horse and rider.
Year 2004-2008: Continue national and international showing to gain
experience for both horse and myself, with a view to Olympic Competition in 2008.
Travel around the UK, to broaden experience for both horse and rider is
highly desirable during this phase.
This is what I could offer a potential sponsor:
1. Advertise on my horse box.
2. Advertise on logos attached to saddle pads, jackets, shirts, and hats etc.
3. Advertise on grooms clothing.
4. I could call one of my horses after your company
5. Advertise (indirectly) on TV and in print.
6. Advertise in print media and magazines in all media exposures.
7. Any suggestions given by the sponsor.
I would be happy to make a point of acknowledging the generous support of my
sponsor.
My Equestrian Profile:
Experience:
Horse owner from an early age
Broken and trained young horses
Rode for an Olympic Show jumper
Trained with a 3 day Eventer.
Competed in many leading horse events & shows,
Including – High standards of Cross-Country at Fairoak, Goodwood & Bereleigh
Show jumped at many leading show jumping events e.g: Langford Farm and Southseashow.
Dressage to Intermediate.
Qualifications:
BHSProgressive Riding Tests
BHS Stage 1: Riding
BHS Stage 1: Care
BHS Riding & Road Safety
BHS Stage 2: Riding
I am training with an Olympic Eventer who won gold at the Mexico Olympics.
This is why I need sponsorship so I can take part in big eventing trials, to
help with funding of a horse and support for the events. So I can compete
with the top and your company will be advertised at every event I attend and maybe worldwide.

Katie Bisson
Young Rider seeking sponsorship and/or rides, just moved from Jersey to England to study Law at Exeter University.
I am continuing my way up the BSJA and British dressage ladders, I currently only have one horse (Just Dan) who is extremely talented. I am happily competing in 1m15 classes and I'm now starting
fox hunter classes. I can easily see my self progressing to regional if not national finals next year. So far I have competed at three competitions
(Horse only been over since middle October, and lack of transport restricts further competing). I have had a first, third and two fifths one of which was in a fox hunter class. This is even better considering he had never jumped indoors before and was still settling in to his new surroundings.
We also show potential in dressage where having completed under 10 tests we have received over 60% in prelim/novice and elementary tests. (We have won Young rider sections). I'm currently schooling my horse to
medium/advanced medium. I am now a member of BYRDS (joined mid Nov. 2001). I expect to be competing at medium standard mid 2002 depending on accessibility of competitions. I am a member of British Dressage, but as of yet my horse is not due to no accessible local
competitions, as soon as this situation changes I will register my horse.
We have serious potential to reach young rider teams, but to get there I need a sponsor who can assist me in travelling, training and entry costs.
when people ask me what sort of rider I am I always answer that I am a dressage rider who prefers to jump, this is because even though I thoroughly enjoy dressage and show skill (talent spotters finalist), I do enjoy
the thrill and unpredictability of show jumping, where I have also enjoyed success.

I can offer a sponsor a normal deal (advertising on clothing/saddle cloths etc. as well as indirect media coverage, when applicable. Also when I am able to purchase my own transport the company logo can be displayed.)
What I would hope from a deal would be assistance for me for my equine future, whether this be in the form of merchandise, or grants.
I am also willing to take on the ride of any other horse. I though would not be liable to pay livery costs etc. Any horse should be either competing
already at fox hunter level or above, or if young/inexperienced should have the capability of competing to a high level.
I would also consider riding horses in affiliated competitions for clients, even if only at novice levels. (It would not be my responsibility to keep the
horse fit)
The same applies to any potential dressage horses, as I have not 100% dedicated myself to one discipline.
