Have you ever wondered where all the ideas for these websites have come from? You have browsed the web, you have found all your old schoolfriends on Friends reunited, you have found that buying books on Amazon.co.uk takes an hour, whilst your local bookshop (Wrays) is a minute walk away, and they will get you anything in print and know who can lend you the one that isn't. What do you do next? You go to Filey I T Centre, and sign up for a Webmaster course, and suddenly you have ideas for the perfect website, the one that will be mentioned in The Times on their good website page. You have never used a scanner, you have just heard of HTML, can do a few tags ,DO NOT FEAR, IT IS EASY TO MAKE YOUR OWN WEBSITE. All you need is time .
This site has only just begun, so watch out for all the updates, and fancy banners and hotspots that will be coming, I've photos enough to give Julia Margaret Cameron a run for her money. My site is just as it says' Notes from a Filey Garden'. You will find all my pictures of plants that do well in coastal areas (where the east winds blow), design tips, facts about unusual plants, especially those that you can use in the kitchen, and links to interesting places in the vicinity of Filey to see unusual plants and welcoming gardens. This site also includes notes on the history of Filey, and links to other history sites, including recent history, such as pictures of my grandfather who was the first person to drive over the Runcorn transporter bridge in 1905. Filey has what Pevsner described as the 'loveliest church in this corner of Yorkshire'. You will see pictures of Flower Arrangements in the church, and hints on what Foliage to grow in a small garden that you can cut and use, without denuding the beds. |
