The Scunthorpe branch of the Lincolnshire Family History Society has been in existence since 1989. Approx. 30 people attend our meetings each month. Meetings are held at 7:30pm at The Community centre, Lindum Street, Scunthorpe, which is situated in the town centre, on the first Tuesday of each month. Please note, there is no meeting in August.

We are a friendly & inclusive group, who's whole aim is to help people to do their research.

We ask for a small donation at the door which goes towards the cost of the hire of the room, speakers expenses and also to purchase new resource material.

We have a lending library, Microfiche & CD Rom hire, Microfiche reader hire and also a book stall where you can make purchases.

    These resources are available at all of our meetings, and in addition to this, we hold occasional workshop evenings, which enable members & non-members, the opportunity to access these resources, more fully with help if needed.

    Each month we usually engage speakers who give very informative and entertaining talks. Our aim is to have talks on family, local, & social history.

     

    Please note, we do not undertake research for individuals, however the L.F.H.S. magazine does contain a members interest list and contact details.
