The Beltane Fire Society is made up of many groups and individuals who are involved in a variety of activities in their own right. Most are involved in Edinburgh's music and arts scenes and Edinburgh's various community arts projects. Although many are just people who enjoy the opportunity to behave outrageously for one night every year. Anyone who feels that they have a need to express themselves in way that involves bodypaint, lots of fire and plenty of noise is welcome.

Not forgetting the artists who actually design and make all the props and costumes. And the people who make sure that it all actually comes together on the night.
