This line connects to the MUNN line via the marriage of John BURGESS to Sarah MUNN in May 1769. Their eldest son Thomas became the family butcher in Ewhurst,
SSX.
 Most
of the Burgess line were baptised, married or buried here in St James' Church on
the Green at Ewhurst in Sussex.
