Here is the story of the woman in the Russian hat
I was at the market, they were packing up, she was packing up. She was a market trader, she had been selling knick-knacks.
I was interested in taking pak-pics, I shot - at the Russian hat - I thought she was spying... me with one eye.
She was, but I got her amidrifts.
The picture fell into my lap, just near the Russian border: an icy cold tundra shaped black border hewn out of filed metal surrounding the rebate of the negative.
Taken with ex-Communist 400 ASA b/w film (Orwo) and via the 35mm F2.5 Voigtlander (Cosina) 'Pancake' lens at around F5.6.
