                                                                   FULLICK BURIALS

George Fullick, his son John and John's wife, Ann Carleton are buried in a small cemetery in the Hexham/Tarro district of New South Wales, a long way from their birth places in Headley  and, in Ann's case in County Cavan, Ireland.  Suzanne Ziolkowski, a descendant of Henry Fullick and Dinah Claydon, visited the cemetery in 1986 and again in 1995.  The headstone which was found to be laying on top of a pile of other headstones,  is inscribed

In Memory of
GEORGE FULLICK
Died March 29, 1876
Aged 88
Take Comfort Christians, when your friends
In Jesus fall asleep,
Their better being never ends,
Then why dejected weep
Also JOHN his beloved son
died Jany27, 1897
Aged 87 years
Also ANN
Beloved wife of John Fullick
Died Nov 25 1902
Aged 87 years
Though lost to sight in memory dear

The Hexham/Tarro Cemetery is gradually being encroached upon by the surrounding houses and, when Suzanne last visited it, was in a bad state of repair with the locals hoping to reclaim the land for a public park.
My father FRANK THOMAS FULLICK, a second great grandson of George, born  Batts Corner, near Headley, was cremated at the Park Crematorium,  Aldershot, on the 12 February, 1979.  His inscription in the Book of Remembrance reads
Beloved husband and father,
In our hearts he will always stay,
Loved and remembered every day.
