THE HEADLEY CONVICTS

Home to many of the Fullick family from the early 1500's to the late 1900's was Headley, a small village in Hampshire.  In the 1800's five family members were transported from Headley to Australia -  George Fullick,  his brother Henry (the Elder),  his sons John and  Henry (the Younger), and a cousin, also named George Fullick.   George and Henry the Elder's brother John was lucky to escape the same fate as his brothers.  In 1809 he was sentenced to 6 months hard labour which he served in England. Many Headley men were  transported and I've come across 22 to date. There are at least another 3 who were possibly transported and their details will be added if their transportation is confirmed. Please contact me if you are able to provide further information on any of the Headley convicts.
