This is just to let visitors know about a new formula of 1/10th scale
"nitro" powered NASCAR oval racing , taking place in the U.K., at
SANDOWN MODEL SHOW on 6/7th May 2000.

Chessington Radio Car Club, will once again be racing, and 
displaying, their 1/8th scale STOCK CARS, and HOT RODS, at the
Sandown Model show.....AND this year, there will also be a NEW OVAL
RACING formula, based on the Kyosho 2wd, 1/10th scale nitro powered
Mk.2 spider Pure 10 cars, fitted with a NASCAR body....(in
celebration of the return to the U.K. of FULL-SIZED Oval Racing,
which will take place at the new ROCKINGHAM MOTOR SPEEDWAY, near
CORBY, Northamptonshire, later in the year !)

             Results from SANDOWN MODEL SHOW............NOW IN !
The New 1/10th scale NASCAR achieved a 1st place, on the Saturday,
(57 laps in 5 mins.final.)racing against the 1/8th scale 3.5 cc 
powered Hot Rods,
and 3rd place on the Sunday, racing with a damaged "dog-bone"! 
(44 laps in 4 mins.final.)

ABLE TO COUNT UP TO 32 CARS AT A TIME......WITHOUT USING TRANSPONDERS

New Race Timing System from KO Propo!

Active Race Control - ARC System

A new concept for race timing operations has been developed by
KO Propo, which eliminates the need for an on board transponder 
device. KO’s ARC System uses radio frequency emissions to activate 
automatic counting as the car crosses the timing loop in the track.
Compatible with all existing race programmers. Following its 
intensive test and development programme, this interface hardware 
and software package will be available in Spring 2000. KO Propo’s 
revolutionary new method of timing control, takes technology into
the next millennium.
