Welcome, your have entered the Realm of Artemis..................

Artemis - Queen Of The Bow

It is written of the ancients that the God Zeus had a passion for the charms of beautiful women.
Leto, a beautiful maiden, radiant with her charms lived happily amongst both Gods and men on Olympus.
Zeus spotted her and his very soul was aflame with lust for her, he knew that he wanted her and that he would indeed have her, and so he descended from the heavens to woo and lie with Leto.
Nature took its course and soon Leto was with child. Zeus in all his glory was proud and happy at this great blessing of new life, but he was also afraid for the beautiful Leto. Why you may ask, well Zeus had a wife, Hera, he knew that Hera would not look upon
his infidelity kindly!
Leto found herself alone for no one would help her in this time for fear of Hera's wrath upon them. Just before her time was due, an island agreed to take Leto. Zeus was pleased not to mention relieved, and to show his gratitude Zeus gave anchor to the island by
causing four great pillars to rise from the ocean. And so it is written that it was upon this little island that Leto gave birth to twins, these twins were to be the Gods Apollo (Sun God) and Artemis (Moon Goddess)

The twins grew and were inseparable, they learned together the ways of the forest. They both learned to use a bow, Artemis was by far superior to her brother Apollo where this was concerned. Hence Artemis is still known through out the world today as Artemis, Queen of the Bow.
