Leyburn Light have been notified that we are to receive six instruments from Instrument Amnesty!

We are in the process of organising collection of the instruments from the donors.

Give it up -so someone else can take it up.

The community group Leyburn Light are registered as recipients of instruments from Instrument Amnesty which will benefit the young people of Wensleydale.

Instrument Amnesty is a National Foundation for Youth Music and BBC Music Live initiative which aims to liberate forgotten instruments from attics and cupboards across the land and redistribute them to give young people the chance to play music.

Play your part to make tomorrows musicians?

That instrument you used to play.you know the one - up in the attic? Or at the back of the cupboard?

Sure it's a fond memory, a part of your past. But how about making it a part of someone's future? Someone with all the dreams, all the promise - but without an instrument.

We need just about every kind of instrument - clarinets to keyboards, cymbals to samplers, turntables to tabla.

To pledge your instrument either call 08700100125, contact Leyburn Light by email so that we can send you a pledge form or pledge on-line at BBC Music Live All pledges will receive a special 'Thankyou' pack with full details of how to hand over your instrument. You'll know where it's going.you might even hear it being played one day!
