Under construction ~ 1875

Broad Street Station was opened in 1875 and
provided a convenient link between London
and the suburbs to the north of the capital

5th May 1956

When the station was opened it had six
platforms but by the time of its closure
only four remained in regular use

By the late 1970's the authority in charge

of the station 'British Rail' had allowed
it to fall into a state of disrepair

Instead of investing in the renovation and
repair of the station they allowed bids for
the land to be made sealing the stations fate

In 1986 after the last train had left

Broad Street station, the ticket barriers
were closed one last time and the last few
staff members left never to return

13th March 1980

Now with the last passengers gone and the station

closed it only remained for the developers to be let
loose to eradicate every last trace of the station
and the memories of over 100 years serving the capital.
