Saturday Fight
Night Episode #5
Elephant and Castle Leisure Centre, London
Your commentary team is Adam Wheeler and Chris Freeman.
The Saturday Fight Night opening titles rolled and Chris Freeman and Adam
Wheeler welcomed viewers to the show. They plugged the two huge matches signed
for this evening - Bryan Campbell defends the TV Title against Luke Champion in
a rematch from Rebirth and also, in a Triangle Match, it'll be Muerte de
Antedicho vs. The Punisher vs. Devon Ferrari with the winner facing Jason
Prentice for the Heavyweight Title next week!
Footage played of the shocking debut of Italian mobsters La Cosa Nostra on
Hammerlock TV. Majoli and Saronni were successful in breaking the thumb of one
half of the Tag Team Champions, Gaz Phillips, and putting him on the shelf.
They're making their official Hammerlock in-ring debut tonight against Goldie
Lookin' Chain's Eggsy and 2-Hats.
La Cosa Nostra (Manuel Majoli and Matteo Saronni) defeated
Goldie Lookin' Chain (2-Hats and Eggsy) when Majoli pinned Eggsy after a DDT in
0:12:19.
Rating: *** 1/2
[The Maggot and Adam Hussain interfered against Manuel Majoli.]
Match highlights:
La Cosa Nostra proved exactly what a dangerous and uncompromising unit they are
in this match-up. The GLC started well enough, with 2-Hats taking Saronni down
with a top-rope Frankensteiner. However, the Italians began to break down their
opponents, with Saronni locking a chicken-wing on 2-Hats and Majoli trying to
pull Eggsy's shoulder out of its socket with a fujiwara armbar. Majoli drilled
Eggsy with a fisherman buster after Eggsy had missed a flying elbow, but The
Maggot had the referee distracted. La Cosa Nostra then hit the same manoeuvre
they had used on Gaz Phillips; a wheelbarrow slam/Ace Crusher combo which is
christened The Kiss Of Death. It would have all been over for Eggsy there but
2-Hats made the save. Majoli hit legal man Eggsy with a swinging neckbreaker and
pinned him after a vicious DDT.
After the bell, La Cosa Nostra continued to pound Eggsy and attempted to break
his thumbs. Rick Knight hit the ring armed with a steel chair, but before he
could beat any retribution out of the Italians they quickly got out of harm's
way. Knight smashed the chair into the mat out of sheer frustration.

Footage rolled of Serenity's new man Angelo DeAngelo's vicious beatdown of
Midnight Blue on Hammerlock TV. DeAngelo is about to have his first official
match in Hammerlock against One Step Down from Goldie Lookin' Chain.
Anthony DeAngelo pinned One Step Down after the X-Spot in 0:08:39.
Rating: ** 3/4
[Mike Balls and Billy Webb interfered against Anthony DeAngelo.]
Match highlights:
DeAngelo overpowered One Step Down early on and focused his assault on the
rapper's back, punishing him with a backbreaker. DeAngelo tried to set up One
Step Down for the move he had laid Midnight Blue out with on Saturday Fight
Night - the X-Spot (Moonlight Bomb) - but The Stepper slid out of dodge. One
Step Down surprised DeAngelo with spinning headscissors and a moonsault from the
second turnbuckle. However, he missed a springboard dropkick and crashed and
burned to the delight of Serenity at ringside. DeAngelo flexed his muscles and
scored with a Rocker Dropper, a move he likes to call the Bump 'n Grind.
DeAngelo attempted to put The Stepper away with a sleeperhold, but One Step Down
broke the hold with a jawbreaker and hit back with an enzuigiri to the face.
DeAngelo cut The Stepper's comeback short though with a hard clothesline and
then put him away with the X-Spot.
Delighted with her new man's efforts, Serenity jumped into the ring and the two
shared another stomach-churning tongue sandwich.
Footage rolled from Rebirth of Byson's sickening attack on Steve Bailey, robbing
Bailey of a shot at the TV Championship. Bailey took a horrible Bull Rutt brain
buster onto the steel steps and suffered a stinger in his neck. Chris Freeman
announced that he would be out for a minimum of two weeks. Freeman added that in
the meantime Byson had been suspended for two weeks without pay. He said that
the situation between these two men needs to be resolved as quickly as possible,
or else it may spell the end of someone's career.
Chris Freeman and Adam Wheeler hyped up the NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Title
Match between Bryan Campbell and Luke Champion, which is coming up after the
break.

Iron Man Match:
Bryan Campbell drew Luke Champion:
x time limit expired (B. Campbell and L. Champion) in 0:15:00
Rating: *** 1/2
(Bryan Campbell retained the NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Title.)
Match highlights:
Another fantastic contest between these two men who know each other so very
well. Bryan Campbell took the fight to Luke Champion, succeeding with a dropkick
and a full nelson slam. Champion fired back though and turned Campbell's lariat
attempt into a fujiwara armbar. The Blue Chipper escaped though and took control
once more. He took an age to climb to the top rope though and Champion threw him
off his perch. A clothesline swung the advantage back into the TV champion's
favour and he dominated The Legacy with a powerslam and a hiptoss. The battle
spilled to ringside, where Champion executed a backdrop driver on the hard
floor.
Back in the ring, Campbell scored with a back suplex and followed up with a
kneedrop. He missed with a back elbow though and Champion laid him out with a
leg lariat. A wheelbarrow suplex, an enzuigiri, a power bomb and a dragon suplex
all earned very close near falls. The fans were going wild and on their feet!
Champion used a Death Valley Driver but Campbell avoided going a fall down by
getting his foot on the bottom rope, showing excellent ring awareness. Campbell
used underhand tactics to get the upper hand, doubling Champion over with a low
blow and connecting with a swinging neckbreaker. Campbell blasted Champion with
a flying forearm and hooked the tights, but he only got a two count as The
Legacy managed to kick out! Campbell got two more near falls before the time
limit expired with a flying bulldog and a flying cross body. The match ends all
square and Campbell retains. The fans called for five more minutes, but Campbell
was happy to escape with the gold.
Backstage, Kelly interviewed Devon Ferrari. Ferrari was a bit miffed as to why
Muerte de Antedicho had interrupted his "little chat" with The Punisher on
Hammerlock TV. He thought that Antedicho had no right to demand a title shot
against Jason Prentice, as Prentice had beaten the Spaniard in the final of the
tournament at Rebirth and therefore Antedicho had blown his chance. Ferrari
claimed that it should just be a straight-up singles match between he and The
Punisher and that Antedicho should just go home. He said that he was better than
Antedicho and had already proved that by beating him in the tournament. Kelly
inquired why Ferrari was so pissed off at Antedicho. She speculated that it may
be because Ferrari lost his hair in a match with Antedicho back in 2001. Not
amused, Ferrari stormed off while Kelly cracked a smile.

Before the number one contenders triangle match got underway, NWA-UK Hammerlock
Heavyweight Champion Jason Prentice made his way to the announcers' booth to
provide colour-commentary. Linda O'Neil was by his side, carrying the title belt
under her arm. He did not look well at all. Freeman asked him what was wrong and
he claimed that he was STILL hungover from the celebrations of his title
victory. Not buying anything Prentice was saying, Freeman said that his title
win was a week ago and he must have the longest hangover of all time. Freeman
asked the champion who he would rather face out of the three combatants next
week. Prentice chugged down some water and said that it didn't matter to him, as
he'd already beaten them all in the tournament.
Number-One-Contenders-Triangle Match:
Muerte de Antedicho defeated Devon Ferrari and The Punisher when Antedicho
pinned D. Ferrari after a crucifix in 0:15:27.
Rating: *** 3/4
Match highlights:
Devon Ferrari almost immediately took out Muerte de Antedicho with the Emerald
Erosion and then followed up with an inverted atomic drop and a flying back
elbow. Antedicho came back with a spinning leg lariat and a surfboard, but The
Punisher drilled Antedicho with a devastating power bomb. Victory seemed certain
for The Punisher but Ferrari broke the cover. Antedicho turned a tilt-a-whirl
powerslam attempt by The Punisher into spinning headscissors. Ferrari used a
Yakuza kick and an Ocean Cyclone Suplex on The Punisher. The Punisher speared
Ferrari and took him down with the Doctor Bomb, but Ferrari used the ropes to
avoid the three count. Antedicho executed a ropeflip moonsault on The Punisher.
The Punisher hit a brain buster on Ferrari and seemingly had him beaten with
Total Punishment, but Antedicho made the save. The Punisher power bombed Ferrari
and again Antedicho stopped the fall. Antedicho planted The Punisher with the
Diamond Dust and followed up with a standing moonsault for a close two count. It
was action all the way!! You couldn't even blink in this one. Antedicho thought
he'd won it with an Antedicho Driver on The Punisher, but Devon Ferrari dragged
Antedicho off. Ferrari then went for a clothesline on Antedicho, but Antedicho
countered with a crucifix for the very popular victory! What a tremendous match!
Antedicho will face Jason Prentice for the title next week!
The fans were going crazy as Antedicho pointed at Prentice and signalled that he
wanted the gold around his waist. Prentice stood up and threw his headset down.
Antedicho then held the ropes open, daring Prentice to get in the ring and face
him. Suddenly feeling queasy, Prentice clutched his stomach and backed off, much
to the chagrin of the crowd. Prentice cowered up the ramp and away from Muerte
de Antedicho as the show drew to a close.
Circuit information:
"The Legacy" Luke Champion has quit Hammerlock. A despondent Champion told
Hammerlock officials that his Hammerlock career "is worth nothing" because he
did not win the TV Title tonight. In fact, rumour has it that Champion is so
depressed over his loss that he is leaving the UK wrestling scene entirely.
Champion is looking to possibly start a new career in another field.
We are told that more matches will be signed next week on television for
GrandSlam, so you've gotta tune in for that. Also, Bryan Campbell will defend
his TV Title against an as-yet unnamed opponent and, provided he's feeling well
enough of course(!), Jason Prentice faces Muerte de Antedicho with his
Heavyweight Championship on the line! Till then, so long everybody!
