As part of my A-Level Geography course I undertook a module known as 'Global Futures'. Within this module there was a choice of subject that I could be examined upon. One of these possible choices was 'Natural Hazards'. This subject intrigued me and I decided to study these phenomena. Now that my study has been completed my interest in these phenomena has grown and I have learnt much. Here, I would like to share what I have learnt about what is a fascinating subject and display some of my work.
As I have written the page in HTML myself (because I can't afford to buy all that web authoring software) it is not all that tidy. There is quite a lot of decent information here though. Please bear in mind that I wrote all the pieces in 1998/99 so not everyting will be up to date. For current data or research follow some of the links (there aren't that many at the moment but I am trying to put some more in). You should use these links to find the sources for my work, though unfortunately I have not got most of the sources of the illustrations and pictures (thanks if I am using yours - sorry you have not been acknowledged).

First I would like to give a General Overview of Natural Hazards and the many aspects of their nature that can be studied. I will then go on to show how these aspects vary between individual hazards, giving examples of various occurences of each hazard.
Alternatively you can go straight to my illustrated notes on the natural hazards listed below. These notes contain links that might be of use or interest related to that natural hazard.
