Personal Statement:
Having studied for O and A levels at the Cherwell School, Oxford, and Oxford College of Further Education,
I began a degree course in Environmental Biology at Anglia Polytechnic University. However, during the course of this
I realised, that I wanted to do something more creative, so I returned to the Oxford College of Further Education
to take the necessary Art A-level. I then went on to achieve a distinction in the GNVQ Advanced Art and Design course.

I have recently completed the four year BA (Hons.) Fine Art degree course at the University of Reading.
My particular interests include painting, photography and experimenting with animation.
I find myself increasingly interested in the potential for creating images via digital manipulation,
and I have established my own web-site.     ( http://members.lycos.co.uk/Paul_Oldfield )
As part of the final assessment for my degree, I produced a background study in web-site format,
including both text and images.

Computer experience:
I am familiar with the following:
Windows 98; Microsoft Office 2000;
Corel Draw and Photo-Paint; Adobe Photoshop;
Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash; Netscape Composer.

Other Interests:
-Animation: attended Animated Encounters Festival 2001, Bristol.
-reading, especially literature about Art, and Fantasy, Gothic and Science Fiction.
-film, especially animation.
-writing poetry.
-photography: I reached the semi-final of the Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 1988.

Other experience:
Summer 2000: I had some paintings on show in the offices of Panasonic in Bracknell.

In 1996 I took part in a 10-week evening course with Oxford Film and Video Makers, in experimental filmmaking, including animation.

July 1992: Volunteer Warden on an R.S.P.B. Reserve, Haweswater, Cumbria.
1987: Natural History study week with The Field Studies Council in Shropshire.
January 1986: School work experience week, at the Oxford University Zoology Dept

August 1984 - August 1985: A year spent in Massachusetts, USA.
-with visits to Australia and New Zealand.

- I have a driving licence.
