Instructions
You can notify me by email of
images that you want to participate on the list by emailing.
- Please use the subject: Cactus Photo Gallery for your email.
- For each link, please provide:
Genus species |
Copyright |
URL |
Website |
- Genus species - please keep this initially to the names
provided in the list. These are taxa in common use and generally accepted
- although you may disagree with the name used. You can of course use
the name that you prefer on your website and explain why.
The 1st Edition of the CITES Cactaceae Checklist (1992) is my guide - not because I agree
with everything it contains, but because it conveniently brings together a current view of
the Family Cactaceae. I may switch to the 2nd Edition once this becomes more
generally available.
- Copyright is the name of the person who owns the copyright of
the picture. Please do not send details of on-line images that do not belong to you.
- URL is the internet address where the image is posted and will
be used to link the list to your images
- Website is the name of your website on which your image is
held
| Note |
The aim is to provide images that will assist visitors to identify their
cacti. |
- Make sure to include only images of reliably identified cacti
- Several images of the same species can be listed to show the overall shape and size of
the plant as well as close ups of particular features
- Priority is given to providing images of as many different species as possible.
Later we can add further links to illustrate the variability of species and to compare
plants in habitat with those in cultivation
- The list will be updated at weekends with links received during the previous week.
If any one is interested in providing a similar list for any other succulent plant
Family, I'll be happy to help - time permitting.
