Yearly functions undertaken by the Unit

TS Caledonia, the official name of the Peterhead Sea Cadet Corp Unit meets on Friday evenings with 'Colours' being at 1900, finishing with 'Evening Colours' at 2100 and cadets are encouraged to wear uniform. They also meet every Monday evening at the same times for games and normal household chores within the unit. The Unit has an active team of SCC staff, both uniformed and civilian, which is headed by Lieut. Ian Wilson. The Unit is very active during the summertime at the Marina, where boating can be enjoyed. This ranges from basic sailing, pulling and power-boating. The range of boats available are from toppers, bosuns and Gulls, to Admiralty Sea Cadet (ASC) pulling boats and various power-boats. A number of staff are also qualified to teach the handling of all these boats through to higher levels of the Royal Yacht Association grading which the Unit is accredited to use.
