From
an interview with Emilia
Fox (co-star in Scarlet Pimpernel, Series 1)
by Jonathan Thompson in
The
Independent (UK) 11 June 2000
n. In
his BBC Liquid News
Antarctica interview,
Vibert firmly insists that he's never been there. So either Fox is
mistaken (a purple leopardskin gay bar that does female lapdancing is a
bit of an oxymoron) or the Absynthe fairy did her work in Prague.
My favourite bars
The
K-Bar: Central Prague, Czech Republic
"The K-Bar is the most tacky
bar I've ever been in. There is leopard-skin everywhere and it doubles
as a gay disco.
When we were
filming The Scarlet Pimpernel
we
always ended up in there.
It's the kind
of place you get a picture of a naked lady stamped on your hand when you
enter. It was open until 6am and we managed to go all the way through a
few times, even though we were filming the next day.
All the boys
drank absinthe, so they have a few blank spots in their memories, but I
had two one evening and it did nothing for me!
There was sawdust
on the dancefloor and by the end of the night, it was all over me. I felt
like a hamster".
