There are two ways to download SIDManager. If you are confident that you already have all the extra Visual Basic 6.0 gubbins installed (see the Readme.txt file for more information) then you can download the basic package containing just the program files. If you don't then you should go for the full package that includes a proper installation routine.Although downloading the full 3Mb package is a big overhead it should be one you only have to carry out once. If you have already installed an earlier version of SIDManager then you need only install the basic package.

The other file that, although not essential, makes a big difference is the Songlength Database. The original can be obtained from the SIDPlay website, though I recommend that you use the version below. I will attempt to ensure that it remains updated in line with the HVSC itself. If you do download it from a different site, ensure that you get the larger VERBOSE version.

If you are using an old version of SCRRUN.DLL then this may cause the Build TuneData routine to fail to detect the correct number of files, leading to errors. Problems appear to be occuring in versions dated up to 26th May 1998. Installing a newer version of the file should prevent this problem from occurring.
