SMFS Membership Details

Southampton Mineral & Fossil Society have two classes of membership:

Single Membership currently £6 per annum subscription.
Family membership (includes self, partner and all children under 18) currently £10 per annum subscription.

Single Membership is open to all indviduals aged 18 and above, younger children must be accompanied by an adult as Family Members. Prospective members are welcome to attend a maximum of two meetings free of charge before deciding whether to join. The membership year starts in January and all subscriptions are renewed then. Membership entitles you to participate in all Society activities (where no age restrictions apply) and full use of the Society's library and equipment. The Society carries full public liability insurance. The Society is affiliated to the Geologists' Association and is thus able to participate in their events. Map and Directions to SMFS

Our evening meetings are held in The Friends' Meeting House, Ordnance Road, Southampton on the third Tuesday of every month. The hall is on the right just down Ordnance Road. We meet in the main hall, downstairs, from 19:30. Entry is by the side door on the left hand side of the building. Parking is on the road outside and no restrictions apply after 18:00. A map (Google Maps UK) can be accessed from here Meeting venue map. Refreshments are served at meetings, after our activities, and we usually finish around 21:45.
