My digital know-how (2006)
My digital know-how (in German):
Paperless information organization shall be the future. Knowledge must be extracted out of a huge amount of data, identifying the basic concepts.
One can scan information resources in newspapers, reports, subscribe email newsletters,
poll faxes. Principal information can be extracted out of each document and intermediately
stored in the file system. Moreover, web pages linked in the emails can be saved
in categories of a browser-integrated document management system after visiting. Finally, all the information gathered can be organized according a hierarchical scheme,
using a textbase system, and/or indexed with a desktop search engine. This can be complemented by a digital asset software system, organizing images,
which can be got from faxes and scanned documents, and integrating text and sound as well.

Prolog (2002)
Symbolic computation by Prolog offers some perspectives for knowledge management. In 1990, I have described in the book "Expertensysteme in der Technischen Diagnostik" my former work based on predecessors of Visual Prolog® (by Danish company Prolog Development Center). In the following, symbolic knowledge processing shall be demonstrated with examples taken from respectively referenced by Visual Prolog WEB site. An experimental online publication shows some basics of Prolog programming. Not owning a professional version allowing for distributing solutions, I just publish a little insight in Prolog basics with knowledge programming on Europe as example.
