On June 19th 1979 a series of aerial photographs was taken of the village and surrounding area.

The photographer, Frank Armstrong, ran a television rental and photography business at 31 Market Street.
Camera equipment included a Nikon FE2 35mm and a Mamiya RB67 ProS 6x7 cm using colour and monochrome film. The aircraft used was a Cessna high-wing monoplane with a local airline pilot, Josh Travis, at the controls.
