What is The Werecard Ring?

The Werecard Ring is intended to connect all the Werecards on the web in a similar way to the proven 'Webring' style connection so that newbies can see exactly what weres are like, without having to trawl thorugh the thousands (literally thousands) of posts on AHWw.

The Werecard Ring was origionaly created as 'The Werecard Webring' at Webring.org, however this place was bought up by Yahoo! inc. who removed the custom HTML fragment feature. As this was one of the things I liked most about the old Webring system, I was quick to change when I found out about a better rival system (hence the new notice at the bottom of my ring code, which I have entered of my own choice to advertise the fact that new sites in the Ring will NOT have to have ugly little conformist navigation bars).

What pages can be submited?

Two sorts of page can be submitted to this Ring: A Werecard page and a Werecard Database. A Werecard is a detailed-ish description of a Werebeast origionaly used on the alt.horror.werewolves newsgroup, but is now used by many therianthropic discusion groups. A Werecard Database is a page listing Werecards, see The WEREWeb Werecard Archive for a good example.

If you have both frames and non-frames versions of your werecard, please give the URL of the non-frames version in the form below, but put the HTML source for linking to the Ring on both.

If your site contains many people's Werecards and you want to submit all of the Werecards as individual Ring sites, please check that the Werecards that you are submiting have not been submited earlier: I don't want hundreds of copies of the same card on the Ring, and I don't expect anyone else would either!

Please note that it can take up to a week to add a new card to the ring. This is not because it takes a long time to check submisions, but because I usually only upload changes to the card listings page on weekends. :O)

What if I don't have any webspace to put my Werecard on?

If you're a Were with no webspace and you want your Werecard to be placed in this Ring, please email me with your Werecard.
