Dublin is the capital city of Ireland. It is a vibrant city with many things to do! There is so much to do like visit museums, see nice buildings like Trinity College, great pubs, nice eating areas in Temple Bar, good shopping and lots more. How to get there? Dublin has an International Airport and it is located on the north side of the city. You can also get there by catching a ferry from Wales. You can also take a plane to Belfast and take the train to Dublin. Things to do in Dublin?
South Side of the City On the south side, you will find Grafton Street which has many shops. At the top of Grafton Street is St Stevens Green - take some time to walk around this beautiful park. About 5 minutes walk from Grafton street you can find some wonderful museums. The National Gallery of Ireland is located in Merrion Square West and Clare Street and it has wonderful art. Nearby you will also find National Museum of Ireland - Natural History is located on Merrion Street. Every Sunday you will find artists displaying their art on the west and south side of St Stevens Green and at Merrion Square West. North Side of the City
If you want to sample lots of pubs and restaurants, then Temple Bar is the place to go! It is located on the South Of the River. It is 5 minutes walk from O'Connell Bridge. Seeing Dublin Castle is a must! It is next to the Temple Bar area. If you have the time, Dublin has many fine theatres! Check the Gaeity Theatre is excellent plays and the buildings architecture is nice. Dublin Transport The best way to get around Dublin Centre is to simply walk. If you want to visit the suburbs, you can either use the DART Train or the local bus. Night Buses are available late at night. Please make sure you check the time tables. You can also travel in the city centre by Luas. Luas is a light rail tram. There are two lines. You can catch the line on the south of the city at Stevens Green and it takes you to Sandyford Industrial Estate. It takes approximately 20 minutes to travel there. The Luas on the north side of the river starts near Connelly Railway Station and its route takes you up Abbey Street and passes Heuston Railway Station and the final destination is Tallaght. It takes about 1 hour to get there. The Dublin Tourist of is near Grafton Street. It is located in a converted Old Church. Sights near Dublin Phoenix Park contains Dublin Zoo and also the Presidents house is there. Bray is worth visiting in the summer because it is a seaside resort. Hiring a car would be useful in exploring the Wicklow area. It is located on the south side of the city. If you want to see something different, it is worth checking out the massive chimneys at Dublin Port. They have been used in various Music Videos. While you are there, take a walk on the Pier.
