X-treme movement infiltrates Airedale C.C

Heightened levels of passion and courage have been shown from the younger generation of cricketers in an attempt to introduce a new style of fielding. The youth of the side incorporate a blend of acrobatic dives, slides and show flashes of Caribbean flare. This new wave to hit the club has been dubbed 'X-treme' fielding.

The movement was introduced by the under 17's captain Ben Heap who in a recent interview explained why this style has been adopted by the club, " I feel this X-treme style will give confidence to the bowlers as they know they are backed up in the field, We are working to take the fielding levels to new heights, this should compensate for expensive overs from Alan Hayes although this may take many years to develop."
