G a l l e r y The Belfast Sportscar Show Frdiay 30th January 2004  This is Darryl's (from the NI Kit-Car Club) locost chassis. He is going to put a Blade in it, as well as moulding all his own bodyparts. Looks well, very neatly welded. It uses a live axel arrangment at the back. Darryl is an experienced car builder, it will be good to see his take on the Ron Champion classic.   This is a championship winning seven based sports car. I was interested by some apparent aerodynamic mods made to the design. First off is the lip at the back of the cockpit, and interestingly the ducts underneath at the rear seem to be used to diffuse the air, and create an area of low pressure. I think. I reckon they'd need to be a lot closer to the ground to be really effective, but it's an interesting concept. If I was going to build a track car I'd certainly think about something like that to keep the tail sucked down to the track.   This is a Pilgrim Sumo, and it really did look the part. When I win the lottery.....   Here are a couple of stunning looking Morgans. Again, when that lottery ticket comes in... They really are stunning looking. Mind you £60,000 would buy a LOT of MK Indys! |
